Orchard Hill Landfill invites community to open house

Orchard Hill Landfill will host an open house for community members and families on Saturday, May 21 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the landfill at 3290 Hennessey Road in Watervliet.

Orchard Hill will provide food and a behind-the-scenes look at what happens after throwing that banana peel away. Community members can learn more about the science behind how the landfill turns gas into electricity and see some of the large equipment up close and in person.
